Water Master Raft Scrap Gets Turned Into An Eco-Friendly Fly Fishing Sling Pack

Rich Stuber of Water Master and Scott Hunter of Vedavoo have been longtime friends. Rick wanted a Beast Sling, a Vedavoo product, and provided Scott with some of the left-over plastics from a raft to see if Scott could make a sling from these materials. Water Master’s rafts are made from high-quality PVC material, and there are resulting scraps from the process of manufacture that are too large to discard into landfills. This also leaves a quantity of unused material waste.

Scott constructed a sling from the recyclable PVC materials and offered it to Rich to try out, which was a very favorable experience. This collaboration resulted in a partnership between Vedavoo and Water Master, and together, the two companies have found a way to put scrap PVC raft material to use into a special product, the Vedavoo X Water Master Beast Sling.

The Vedavoo X Water Master Beast Sling is perfect for fly fishers who fish big flies out of big boxes, or want to carry several boxes of flies and a day’s worth of gear. It comfortably carries larger loads, keeping them on the fly fisher’s back until the pack is pulled to the front – giving quick access to tools, tippet, flies, water, and other gear.

The goals of the Vedavoo X Water Master Beast Sling are three-fold:

1. Keeping the front of the angler clean, free of tangles and opportunities for line hang-ups

The collaboration between Water Master and Vedavoo has produced an innovative new ECO-friendly product for the fly fishing angler, while at the same time reducing the amount of PVC scrap going into trash dumps.
